I thought 6mt's had 298hp?

I have an 06 coupe sport 6mt. From what i researched before i got the car, it has 298hp with the rev-up. But when i read about people dynos with a 6mt with bolt on's, they end up getting like 270hp?? Are the initial readings of 298 wrong? Is it because the dynod people might not have a tune?

Lol im not trying to say 270 is bad or my car is super fast or anything. Just wondering what the actual specs are on it. Right now all i have is a ztube and injen filter so id expect that my hp is about the same as stock.

298 is measured at the fly wheel, I believe and not at the wheels

Actually, your driving style has nothing to do with how power your car makes. Other variables like altitude, temp, dyno type, correction factor, etc. determine it. 5AT's typically dyno 230ish whp on average, 6MT's like 10whp more.

Why should 2 of the same care two different ppl get the same power? The car learns your driving habits and adjust to your needs. I friend dynoed his car w/ cai, exhaust and hfc and got 311. I am just missing the hfc and did 309. Just imangine if i had the hfc?i would be well over 311

I never said two of the same cars should make the same power. I know very well that every car is different. I also know that the ECU advances timing according to your driving style, but it's only slightly and almost irrelevant. My previous post was implying that just because somone redlines their car all the time, doesn't mean they magically gain 50whp.
