To the op, the number the manufacturers post as hp numbers of the engine itself. The dyno number people post is the hp you have after the hp lost from the drive train, ac, steering, and the wheels or hubs depending on which dyno you use.

Also you can have different hp numbers even with the same engine. The majority of the engine is machine made but still assembled by people, so there can be a 10% variance in the stated hp.

Manufacturers also state this as well, to protect themselves from law suits,

Goes back to the old GM joke, never buy a car built on a monday or friday..lol.

I'd have to look around for my dyno sheet, but I would typically do 250-260 whp on dynojets.

So it looks like 19-20% loss with a manual, how does the AT run? Up to 25% loss?

That's a ****ing lot

There's about a 50-60hp loss for my car.

I just put down 255hp at 8,000ft alititude on a dynojet with no tune. Impressed a bunch of local mustang guys which was nice!
