I've got a 2005 AT Coupe and can't spin the tires at all. The first gear is actually kind of a dog. The 2nd and 3rd gears are fantastic. My last car was a V6 camaro AT (which had 200hp and like 212lbs of torque) and I had a fun time spinning out, fish-tailing, etc whenever I wanted.
I wish my G came with a lower first gear. I can't believe with 80 less horsepower and close to 60 less pounds of torque, my 1997 camaro got off the line with more power. (of course the camaro sucked in any other gear).

No brake torquing won't help eliminate it...The only thing that will is what others already mentioned, turn the VDC off...And I understand its been said 5 times before but make sure you practice driving hard in an empty lot or empty road with the VDC off, because if you make one hard launch, or attempt a turn at a slightly high speed you'll finally understand why the japanese love using this car for drifting...It's lots of fun once you get it down, and you won't feel like the car is loosing power like you do with the VDC on...Just be careful when its cold, or raining...G'luck
