Haha! They are still pleanty fast! I raced my mom in her fx50s and won! And it has 390hp but is super heavy!

So judging by the fact the OP now knows you don't get over 300 at the wheels without either Church's dynapack or FI... Where do we stand?

You'll need headers and cams to even think about reaching 300 wheel with non rev up DE.

Not sure headers even make much of a difference on our cars- certainly not considering the work involved in installing them. Cams- well... not much better or worse.

I mean- I suppose if we go there you could build a higher compression engine too...

I think the better route here is just a wake up call. These engines don't do 300 hp to the wheels for the normal dude just wanting to achieve it with bolt ons. You lose too much through the AT to get close.

Get good quality bolt ons... a good tune and enjoy.

if i had 1200, get the cams and re tune it and see what happens, then the headers. its a long shot but itll be close to 300

If you want to put down at least 300 hp to the wheels, you're going to have to either build the motor, boost, or both. You are not going to be able to make that much power with i/h/e and tune on this motor.
