Wanna hit 300 WHP

So I have a g35 2004 5AT

Mods:
ztube
spacer
art pipes
bassani exhaust
3.5 diff with vlsd
transgo shift kit

sitting around 260 WHP on a dynojet.

I want to hit 300 whp and from what i read I need to go to FI. I was wondering if there is a super reliable way to get to 300 whp with or with out FI. For example a small turbo kit to push a couple psi to get me there with some headers??? i really dont want to go much above, i feel for my DD 300 would be perfect.

looking forward to responses!

I think a supercharger is supposed to be better for the engine. So if that is the case you could just get a stage 1 supercharger and call it a day. Either way you go, with SC or TC, get it installed by a reputable shop.

I'm in the same boat... I put down 255hp 260torque with no tune ... I know I will be close to 300 with a tune but will fall short (tuning next month). I would really like to see 300... I'm open to suggestions as well... especially without FI.

md tdxv2, berk hfc, md 5/16 iso, md mrev2, z-tube, stillen pop, stillen ground.

270 is not good enough... haha I wonder how much art pipes would gain me and if it's really worth taking my berk's off.

my only dislike of a SC is you get know torque from it and thats what i need most!

With a low PSI turbo, I would think it'd take a while for that torque to kick in at higher RPM's. At least with the supercharger it is smooth increase throughout the powerband. At least to my understanding =)

LMAO @ that "Supercharger kit" AKA shotty air intake with a built in computer fan =P

Yeah dude FI is not cheap at all. But those are twin turbo kits dude. You only need a single turbo for the results you are looking for.

I like my instant, low rpm torque. It's more than enough for my daily driver.

And I'd forget about FI if you only have 1-2k to spend. Lol.

Everyone here almost knows what they're talking about. If you want it cheap try using a high powered leave blower just to get the paper from the dyno, but if you find a sc for under 3k let me know cause im buying it too. Or try doing a head job that might get you close.

With most turbos, the torque will kick in around mid RPM. A small turbo will kick in sooner but with most turbo builds the torque decreases at higher RPM's.

I'm 99.999% sure your not going to hit 300whp with only bolt-ons. 260whp is good considering your BHP is 260. You will need an aggressive set of cams at the least, and probably higher compression pistons.

The amount of money you would have to spend to hit that mark N/A, your better off just throwing on a Vortech SC and yielding higher gains. You will have to have some custom work done if you plan on using a tiny turbo like your referring to, which will cost money. The SC will be the cheapest route and would be the safest way to boost your car. The lower torque curve will help the longevity of the engine since the non-revup's have the weakest internals.

Ahh thanks for clearing that up. I knew there was some lag for torque to kick in on a turbo. Just didn't know the specifics =)
