'GT' shield-type emblem
'GT' shield-type emblem
i've seen a 'GT' shield-type emblem on some g35's. what does that emblem stand for, and does anyone have a clear picture of it?
btw, i did search and didn't find a clear answer, that's why i created a new thread.

it means someone had an extra 5 bucks to buy a piece of plastic and superglue it onto their car. just kidding. i think i've seen this shield in the emblem on gran turismo3, i think its the GT symbol for the r32-34.

so is this 'GT' emblem part of the current japanese-spec skyline? or is it for a previous gen. skyline? and is there a difference between the red/white and blue/white emblems?
i dont think the emblems come from factory on the v35. i know for sure that they came from factory on the r32, r33, qnd r34. they look good, because they are not all the way toward the bottom of the car like on that v35. they are about 6" under the side marker. i think that the gt-r's had the red/white, and the gts-t's had the blue/white, dont qupte me on that though. the "s" emblem stands for, u guessed it... skyline. i think that it came on the skyline gts-t, since the gt-r has the gt-r emblem up from. here is a pic of a v35 w/ the s emblem.

would the 'gt' emblem on a g35 be considered inaccurate? is it like putting a 'vtec' emblem on any honda car? or does it fall into the same category as the 'skyline' and '350gt' emblems?
