Just recently my remote stopped locking the driver side door.
The lock moves a little bit like halfway, but cannot fully lock.
Therefore, I have to lock it myself with my hand before I exit the vehicle.
Other side locks fine.

I am wondering if this has something to do with the remote, or the lock itself?

Either way, how would I go to fixing this issue?

same thing happend to me some one told me it was so you dont lock you keys in the car or somthin i have no idea if i hear any reasons i will let you know

 

that's only when its in the ignition. What they're stating is that its not locking fully meaning a failing lock actuator

 

Had this happen to mine, dealer said it was a problem with the solenoid or whatever in the lock mechanism. It'd take current, and the lock would just twitch and never fully change position.

 

Its your lock actuator I think there is a DIY thread on it.

 

I have a door actuator for sell from a 2004 G35 coupe its for the driver side. Pm if you would like pictures.

 

yup its your door lock actuator...both mine stopped working...they are pricy to replace for some reason..the G's are known for this issue haha

 

You have your answer, "ACTUATOR" take your G to Nissan and have it replaced. Cost w/b less taking your G to Nissan vs Infiniti....call and check price differences.
