Having a blast in my new G35!

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone.

So I'd been looking at Zs and Gs for about a year. Have a lifted Chevy that's getting up there in miles and wanted a daily driver I'd enjoy.

Last Saturday I found a 2007 G35 6mt coupe black/black with everything but nav with 34K miles and pulled the trigger.

Wife says Ive been like a kid at Christmas. The second my feet hit the floor in the morning I'm itching to drive. Who needs something at the store? Redbox run? Let's get take-out. Haha

Yesterday I was on a mission to get the boat ready and get the lawn done (after cleaning the car of course) so I could find a curvy road to cruise.

Long story short - back roads of Maine heading along the water - wife riding shotgun - 85 degrees with windows and roof open. Blasting tunes and HAVING a blast. Felt like the days before kids and minivans. I'll call it midlife achievement - no crissis here - haha. Just thought I'd share. That's really what it's all about right?

Hearing that engine growl, even in stock form puts a huge grin on my face. After 150k+ in a 4x4 I feel like it pulls like a race car. Overall I'm liking it more everyday.

My wife can drive a manual but hasn't since she was 18. 3 daughters, two driving, neither drive a standard.

The reason I got a stick it becoming clear! I need a get away vehicle.

Middle daughter wants an older Celica 5mt

Now put some exhaust spacer and mrev2 and art pipes and you'll be thinking you can beat any cars out there. LOL

Ah yes now this is the kind of thread that breathes new life into my appreciation for how awesome our cars are. Sometimes I need that reminder that the car really is pretty amazing.

Enjoy the car in its current form while you can. Once that mod bug starts believe me it won't stop.

Thanks everyone. Must say this forum adds to the experience. I may only have a handful of posts but I've been reading everyday.

I'm sure I'll do some customization in the future. Make all my toys my own. Having this resource will give me ideas and expertise!

We hate you and your kind! JK. Now go easily and mod that car soon. Nothing like the feeling of a G35 6MT. coupe. At least not that's out of my price range. Enjoy and welcome.

Here you go- as requested. Sorry it's not a better picture, it's just a quick iphone photo. I'll break out the bad boy camera and take some better ones after it's detailed.
