Got an 05 G35 coupe.....had overheating problems, had a new radiator and thermostat put in....no coolant is leaking out and water pump is properly circulating the coolant.....car is still overheating....when sitting and idling it doesn't overheat, but as soon as I move 100ft the temp starts to rise....heat also does not blow out hot air, just cool/warmish air...don't know if that's relevant to my main problem but....any ideas or help is needed....! Need any more info on car or what's going on ask...!

 

Obvious answer, take it back to where you had the radiator installed! As long as the fluid is moving and your fans are coming on it's probably an air bubble....Gary

 

The car will overheat if you do not bleed the air out of the system properly from the bleeder screw on the aft passenger side of the engine

Watched the video already and bled the system accordingly.....it doesnt make any sense....still overheating...

 

(With the engine warmed up) have a friend run the engine up to 3k RPM and hold it there, and crack the bleeder screw open for about 5-10 seconds

 

Just tried to bleed the system again....and it had an awful lot of air in it......hmmm

 

Well that is your problem

 

How many times does this have to be done? On a normal scale...

 

Just once when done right, and make sure your radiator is topped off...

 

No luck......what would the next task to take.....seems like its just full of air?? Head gasket leak?

 

Now the heater is heating properly.......and something else odd to me...after it gets hot, as soon as I turn the car off, about one minute if that, it goes back to the normal temp...and also the reservoir is filling up and overflowing when the car is on...I'm stumped.

 

Do you have white smoke coming out of the taip pipe?

 

No smoke at all......my last resort I guess is head gasket?

 

With the engine running take the cap off your reservoir and see if there are bubbles in there with the hose still down in the coolant
