Is it USED or does it come like that?

I ordered the Injen exhaust and I got it with smoke stain inside the pipes. It also has some minor scratch and nics on it. Shouldn't everything be clean and scratch free? Does Injen test their product before shipping them? Should I return it and reorder another one?

Thanks

If the stains are black, then its definately used, its carbon buildup. If its a hazy grey type of staining...then its probably not, just some sort of coating they use on the exhausts.

Since it's an exhaust, it shouldn't matter. I understand I'd be ticked off too if they're trying to sell me a used part as new. Make sure the mounting points are good and the tips aren't scratched.

Then call Injen and say your exhaust is used and try to get a discount!

if its that **** yellow color then its from welding during construction...the only rhing id question is the scratches and if there is black carbon build up as mentioned above.

It sounds like somebody may have used the exhaust for awhile and returned it for a refund since they didn't like it, and they re-sold it to you. If you still want to keep the exhaust, I would definitely want a refund of a portion of what you paid since it apparently is used, or send it back for a refund. I wouldn't install it until you get this taken care of to your satisfaction. Where did you buy it from?

Return for new, or get a discount for used.
