Suspension issue
Suspension issue
My 2004 coupe is lowered on eibach sportlines with a spc rear camber kit. It needs an alignment and I am working on getting that done. I keep hearing a knocking noise towards the front of the suspension. I am thinking its the compression rods? I am not entirely sure, but I ran into an issue last week where when backing out of a driveway the driver side front arm came completely off and the tire got stuck underneath the upper arm. I had to jack the car up and clamp the arms back together and it seems to work fine, but I do get this knocking noise whenever I turn or I am going slow. Its almost like a ticking sound and its very annoying. It is not very loud but the driver can definately feel it in the pedals. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Everytime I get any kind of noise in my suspension after doing work on it I go back and retorque everything to the appropriate torque spec. I just got done installing my Hipermax III's a few days ago and had some noise coming from the back, a quick retorque of everything and it went away. It might be the compression rod bushing that might be worn but try that first. Usually its something getting loose due to vibrations after the installation
