Problem after installing test pipes

I just installed top speed resonated test pipes on my 06 6mt coupe. After installing them, my cel light came on (to be expected) but i also get a weird rattling sound while driving. It happens between 2 and 3k rpm and only when im fully off the gas. While its happening, if i press on the gas a little, or if i go into neutral, it goes away. It sounds like a high pitched rattling.
I dont know if this has anything to do with it, but the metal
Brace that bolts to the cats is not in as the top speed pipes didnt have brackets on them.
Any ideas?
Thanks

They must be hitting something. Under load, they probably get shifted to where it has space, until you let off the gas. I'm not sure if this applies to your test pipes, but for ART pipes, it's required to trim down a stud on the driver side heat shield that's very close to the resonator and can cause rattling.

According to tony @ motordyne if you have a point in the exhaust where you go from a large pipe to a smaller pipe you can have rasp too. For example 3' to 2.5' or 2.5' to 2' which could be possible from the tps to the y pipe.

Its not really rasp. Its like a chatter. Almost like a metallicy ping. My set up is just stock exhaust and headers with top speed resonated pipes.

Remove the heat shield that's next to the test pipes, sometimes it causes chatter like you discribed as the engine flexes during acceleration. Serves so real purpose either

It may be the bolt under the driver side seat or the heat shield then, i would check the clearences around the transmission too.

9 times out of 10 it's the heat shield that is in the vicinity. Get under there and take a look for any low clearance ares and bend it or remove it if you need to. That's what I had to do.

Any time you install anything to your exhaust system and get noises only way to find it is to get er up on the rack. What size diameter are the test pipes, are you using the right size gaskets?

All test pipes with stock exhaust manifolds will create a chatter/hiss/rattle under deceleration. Mine do it as well between 2-3k RPMs.

My guess is that it has something to do with the exhaust flow, and the sudden change in diameter from the exhaust manifolds to the test pipes. The ID of the outlet for the stock manifolds is pretty tiny compared to the test pipes' IDs.
