I think the only draw back would be the cost for new tires?
Or the slim possibility of having the tire slip off the rim in a hard turn.
OP: 255 is the safe route, 265 MAY even work fine. There are a few members running 275's and claim zero issues but its not something I would risk doing.

Do you have any pictures of this setup? I'm thinking about going the same tire sizes, and wanted to see what it looks like (mainly the wheel gap, as my car is not lowered). Thanks.

Pending on how low you go and how stiff your coils are you may need to shave your sidemarker bracket. I had to with my 245/40's
