Yes and no. BMWs have the option of swapping out a chip to one with a custom tune, but there is no point in replacing any chips on the G35 - you just have to reflash the factory ECU with a new map. Because every car is going to be at least slightly different, a custom tune is always the best option anyways. While this option may be a bit pricier, the best thing about it is that you can always retune your car whenever you add more mods or change something else out. Look up Uprev Osiris. Uprev also has something for datalogging as well.

Thanks man I appreciate it, I am still new at this, but what is MREV2? I have DC headers and HKS hi-power exhaust on my 06 coupe and can I get mrev done to get more hp? if so where can I get it done? and if its even worth it?

MREV2 is a modified lower intake plenum (intake manifold), and you usually want the kit with a spacer as well. Long story short, because the factory lower plenum distributes air to the cylinders unevenly, Motordyne machined it so all six cylinders get the same amount of air, which happens to make more power. It's called the MREV2 because this is the second and best version he came up with after a good year or so of research and development. I know what some of you kids are thinking - "Why not just machine my stock plenum to do the same?". Because this thing was actually engineered by a man who is pretty much a goddamn rocket scientist, which is also why Motordyne products are so popular amongst the older Driver guys. Many people have tried to duplicate this and have failed very miserably. As for the spacer, it just gives the intake air a better angle of flow to the cylinders, which helps make power as well, just isn't as big of a difference.

If you have a revup motor (any 2005+ G35 with manual transmission only) this can be very beneficial in making power. While it will only net you about 1 or 2 hp, you will gain about 15 lbs of torque starting at something like 1.5k RPM. In other words, while it does nothing for your top speed, you car will accelerate a lot faster as 15 lbs of torque is a huge gain. It is definitely worth it if you are not planning on going boost. If you want to go with a turbo or supercharger, the other intake plenum options available might be better for you.

If you don't have a revup, it's not going to make much power for you, and if you're on a budget, the spacer alone will be great. The MREV2 will still improve airflow, giving you better response throttle response, but you won't see the huge torque gains.

Check out Osiris by UpRev. It's a computer re-tune designed to make the most of your current mods and current status of your car.

No sure exactly what you're driving from your album but if you have a '05+ coupe with MT your RWHP will come from the already mentioned Motordynes MREV2/5/16" spacer along with one of there exhaust systems & ART Pipes....then an Osiris tune! Nothing comes cheap in today's world, if you want more HP the above mods will get you there while remaining NA....Gary

you won't get crap from those chips for our car. My uncle has it on his TT 335i. Lots of gain. I love that car. He's adding down pipes now.

They all work exactly the same, larger spacers do not show any noticeable gains, so just stick with the 5/16
