Bent all 4 wheels
I hit a very large bump in a construction zone last week on I83 N outside of Harrisburg and bent all four of my rims. My car was shot up into the air and my can of soda ending up on my windshield. I'm waiting on a check from State Farm to cover my old ones but what a pain in the butt! They are going to go after the contractor to refund us the damages so I hope I can get my $500 deductible back.

I have stock suspension. I wouldn't be able to get in my driveway if I was lowered.
I will try to post some pics of the road when I get home. Although they were already fixing the spot 4 hours later when I got back to take pictures.

When you say you bent all 4 wheels........what does that mean, they bent at the hub, or the lips bent?
Almost sounds like the wheels are not very structurally sound. I have beat the **** out of some wheels and never managed to bend all 4.

It was at the beginning of the construction zone by the turnpike interchange when coming from York.

Lips are bent bad on the outside of the passenger side. They are bent on the inside of the driver side. It looked like they tried to do a make shift temporary patch in the road that was raised a few inches. Speed limit is 45 through there and I was doing about 50 when I hit it. It took up the whole fast lane.

Here are a couple pictures of where I did it. This is 4 hours later and they already started to fix it and closed the lane. It was much higher when I hit it.

Holy moly, all four? That's pretty crazy. I'm pretty sure you can get reimbursed by the city/county for this, or possibly the contractor like you mentioned. That's a pretty unacceptable road surface if you ask me.
