I use royal purple.... of you look at those numbers, they used royal purple 5w-30 vs amsoil 0w.... I have used RP for a long time in all my motors and they all have been amazingly clean... Nuff said

The best oil is subjective. I put nothing but high quality synthetic oil in my G35 from day one. After 100k it started consuming oil at a rapid rate so I switched to conventional oil and keep it changed regularly. 22k miles later my engine consumes almost no oil. This motor will never see anything but conventional oil.

Curious...... what brand and weights of "synthetic" oil did you use during the first 100K and how long and how many miles did you go between changes?

I used only 5w30 Castrol Edge. Change intervals were between 2500-3000 miles. I bought the car with 28k miles on it. Previous owner used Mobil1 5w30, 3750 intervals.

Mobile 1 is a great oil, just doesnt seem to be so great with our engines. I am at 192k mostly using German Castrol and you can usually find 5quarts and a filter at Autzone for under $40 when its on sale.

All work about the same, slight thickness differences. Still need to be changed out. Some can still fail you. One may make you think you're doing better, but its all in your "head".

What the most important thing? Just change it out when you should. No one likes sloppy seconds.

I choose the MIDDLE one for you as the type of oil that suites your car.

Five! Seriously, would you change oil and not the filter?
