6mt makes me life a little brighter

hello~ well about 5 months ago i switched to a brand new 04 6mt, and before that i rode an 04 AT g35........i just wanted to say that the 6mt makes my life a bit better.....mainly because when i race AT g's.......i win~!!

i m not saying that 6MT's are bettter.....because i don't want to start another one of these......but for me personally.....i love stick.......

really quick, i raced a 04 at g35 coupe from a stand still.....by the time i was in 3rd......i was already 2 car lengths ahead........and i doubt that my mods had any real effect.......i think that 6MT's are just a little quicker~

I just have to wait a couple of months to save up for the hit i will take cuz i owe more than what my car is worth right now (didn't put any $ down!). Nearly every time i drive the G, i think bout driving a 6mt. It must be sweet and hopefully i will get one soon too. Im jealous man!!!! I want exactly what your car has sammy: 04 6mt black/black with nav!!! damn nice...

I love driving my MT. There's no way I'd ever drive an AT for my daily driver. Enjoy it.

There is no way I am ever driving auto again. Those are just cars to learn "how to drive" on and MTs are cars that you really learn "HOW to drive" on. Not flaming autos but its fun cause your always doing something...even in traffic lol. Plus I love knowing that the power is there anytime I need it. Look for my pics lter on in the day of the car in my sig.

I like AT on my commuters....but never on my weekend cars. I hope that car
manuf. will continue to make cars with a clutch for a long time.

Glad that you feel this way. Likewise for me. For me to drive my own car, it has to be stick. This is the only way I would enjoy driving period. There more of a sense that you are the one actually controlling the car versus an auto. Yeah, while driving, the stick gives me something to do, and its fun shifting gears. I dont care how bad the traffic is, just as long as I know I got a stick shift, its all gravy. Yeah, there sometimes I wish I had an auto, but thats why I have my gf's car for . There no other way to drive a car then with stick!!! I will always love it for life.

I very seriously doubt the 6MT is that much quicker. With a good driver and all else equal, it should be marginally faster but 2 car lengths are a serious difference. Gone are the days when stick cars used to be .5s faster than their auto equivalent.

The 5AT is great and a lot of fun to play with, but where I come from stick cars are all we know. I miss it, especially in a sport coupe. So 6MT it is

There was this one time when I pulled on a 6MT- so that means that AT's are faster than MT's... Can't base your assessment of how quick a car is on one encounter- especially since you are modded. COngrats on your MT and a stick is more fun IMO, but I don't think that a blanket assessment is accurate based on one incident. As for the fun facto- I agree
