best weight reduction !!!
#31
The front fenders weigh 25lbs? Hard to imagine, considering they're made of sheet metal. I've held a 350z fender in my hands (close enough to the G fender for government work). I wouldn't say that it weighs more than 8-9 pounds. For the price of the CF fenders, the weight loss is negligable.
CF driveshaft isn't worth it unless you're planning on putting down some serious horsepower. The G comes with an aluminum shaft, and the weight reduction is negligable. Maybe 3-4 pounds. Granted, yes, this multiplies considerably when it comes to spinning inertia, but unless you're racing the car, this doesn't seem worth the cost.
If you wanted to do any kind of CF replacements, doors and trunk would be the best bets.
Lightweight seats are a good bet, as well. But the easiest way to shed weight in the G is to strip a lot of the sound deadening out.
OP, honestly, if you want a car that's good for weight reduction, but retains the 2+2 attributes, you'd be better off getting a early-90's 300zx...
