bluedevils, do you have dynos showing before/after of the gains?

I know when I installed my test pipes, the gains were definitely noticeable. How big the gains were, though, I don't know. I never had the car dynoed.

thanks so much everyone!! has anyone installed a light weight flywheel though?? and also reconsidering the HKS shipping to australia is going to be CRAZY!!! so now thinking of going with the topspeed pro r1, love that amazing deep growl but would it be louder and more aggressive with better headers and test pipes??

Every Osiris tuner in the states turns off codes for test pipes etc.. Disabling a catalytic inefficiency code isn't going to stop the ecu from warning you if something major were to happen. You can selectively disable the codes, but only non-vital ones. It's not a blanket "never get a check engine light again" fix

Er... I never said anything about an Osiris tune...I've used cheaters to turn off CELs before. The way he worded it, it sounded like he was talking about pulling the CEL out altogether.

Something I've seen crooked shops do before to try and cover up an issue they can't fix.

I don't understand how you can "remove" a CEL.. Do you mean physically removing the light in the dash? It's in the ECU, not a part you can remove

Yes, physically removing the light bulb in the dash.

It was late, and the way he phrased that post, that's how it sounded.

I know the code is stored in the ECU. This isn't my first bout with working on cars.

Unfortunately, I've seen it done.

Tennessee's emissions standards are fairly lax, so people do all kinds of shady stuff to get through. Sort of like...installing cheaters on test pipes.

I do but to upload the pix is a pain. My base line was 309 and after i installed the HFC, i dynoed at 324. After that i got a tune and my final numbers where 327.

Just a note: You don't GAIN horsepower so much from a lightweight fly wheel, as you do free up already existing horsepower that's being used to move the OEM flywheel. Same concept as a light-weight pulley.
