best mods for best power return??

hey everyone,
just registered to this awesome sight to ask some questions that always seem to leave me answer less
Im here in Australia and found out this is an awesome forum sight for the V35/G35 so im about to buy a 05 skyline coupe V35. And really want to know whether these mods are worth the price tag that comes with them??

- HKS Hi power exhaust (I think shipping prices are really gonna suck)
- Brian Crower Stage 2 Cams/Kelford Cams (256/264)
- lighter flywheel (not sure which brand)
- better headers (not sure what is best)
- AAM Competition High Flow Catalytic Converters
- kinetex intake manifold
- Ralco RZ Lightened Stock Size Pulleys
- osiris uprev tune
I have alot more i want to do but other suggestions would be awesome!!!!!!!!

That actually sounds like an awesome list, minus the HFC. If you're going all out with the NA mods and cams (you'll need upgraded valve springs and retainers as well) you will want straight pipes, ideally long tube headers but motordyne ART pipes are great as well.
The kinetix composite V+ plenum is great, the more expensive metal SSV sucks. Make sure you're not neglecting regular maintenance when you're doin all these
Mods, new spark plugs alone are good for up to 3 hp
Uprev tune is really the key to bring it to life

5/16 MD spacer. Makes the G feel like what I thought it would be like when I bought it.

Headers on the G coupes aren't worth the time & money you'll need to put into them.
If your car is auto go with Motordyne 5/16" plenum spacer.
If manual go with Motordyne 5/16" plenum spacer & MREV2 lower plenum.

It's pretty obvious from the OP's "initial mod" list that he's not your average guy who wants a plenum spacer, exhaust, and pretty rims.

If you're going for the max power NA headers and cams are a must

taking the check engine light out huh? ... mine has been acting a little funny, after about 30 minutes of driving on a high way it kicks on, and then turns off once i restart the car. I'm assuming it has to do with one of my o2's for it to be kicking on and off like this.

Could be a lot of things.

A leaky gas cap could cause it. Or random multiple misfires. Or an evap issue.

Better to have the code pulled than to just assume...

And no...taking the CEL out is NOT a good idea. I'd never do that in case something serious did pop up. Cheaters go over your secondary O2's to prevent them from triggering a CEL when they sense exhaust gases that aren't being catalyzed due to the lack of a converter.

I can tell you from my car it was a gain of 15hp to the wheels. I hear test pipes is more. My friend was telling me to get them and i would have had 25hp to the wheels but i didn't want that smell all the time.

I don't have any issues with a strong gas smell with my test pipes.

I noticed that if I ran 87 in my car, I would constantly have this strong smell of unburnt gas. 89 and 93, however, no issues. At worst, I occasionally get the smell of burnt fuel in the cabin. It's never that bad, though.
