What's up guys? Found the forum a few days ago and signed up for an account. My name's Luke, 19 years old. I'll give you a little background on myself and how I came about my G35. My first car was a 2004 Chevy Tahoe. Was a good, reliable car, but I'm just not an SUV kind of guy. My dad picked it out for me when I got my license, so I couldn't complain.

I drove the Tahoe throughout my entire high school years. My dad promised me a new car if I was able to earn a college football scholarship to help pay for school. I earned a scholarship and I head off to camp in a few days. So, we sold the Tahoe and looked around at a TON of different cars. I checked out Nissan Maxima's, Mazda RX-8's, Scion TC's, Hyundai Genesis Coupe's, and a few others. I finally stumbled on the G35, and fell in love. I think most of us had the same issue It's a 2007 black G35 Coupe, 6MT.

I've been checking out a lot of mods I can add to my car and can't wait to get started. The first modifications I'm considering are debadging, painting the brake calipers, and a new gear shift lever + e-brake. Here's some pictures of my new ride!

Thank you very much! I'm addicted to it already, haha. Is there anything you would recommend that I do to my car in terms of mods? This is all new to me.

Just search around on the forums, read all the stickys and go from there. Tons of reviews over almost all the parts. What are your goals performance wise, Handling wise and visual?

Not looking to turn it into a track performer, so probably not many engine upgrades. Mostly visual stuff. If I were to invest on some rims, I would want black on black.

I want to keep a simple, clean look to my car. Not looking to go overboard. Whatever I do, I will make sure it's done right. I'm an OCD freak.

Nice well whatever rims you get make sure you invest in either lowering springs or coilovers. It'll Completely change the look of your car

Looks great. Congratulations. I'm debating black wheels as well.

I bought an 07 black 6mt in early June and the smile hasn't left my face. Still turning down the music when I go through an underpass so I can hear that growl.

Will definitely do that. Seems like most of the guys on the forum have dropped an inch or two.

I thought so as well. There is a minor scratch on the hood, but other that that, she's clean as a whistle. Considering the car is 5 years old, I can't complain.

The grumble it makes every time you turn over the engine, wow! It definitely turns heads. I love it. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Nice find. I would start with clear corners but that is just because I cringe every time I see those ambers haha.
and don't paint the calipers anything bright please. Black only.
Good luck and happy modding!
