sorry but for repeated braking, brembos win with less brake fading. so if you plan on tracking the car go with a 06. the 06 does have a memory seat. which is awesome.

What is it you want to accomplish with the car. It sounds like it's aesthetics. If that's the case, the 06+ LOOK better. It's newer. The oil consumption issue is barely an issue. It's not like you're topping off oil every day or week..or really even every month.

As for the performance, the 06 does have more HP than the 03-05. That said, I have an 03 and my buddy has an 06 both stock (although his is MUCH lower than mine currently). ON the highway, when we drop to 3rd (at cruising speed) he won't pull on me until well after 100mph. So, that whole "better performance thing" is a gaff.

Brembos are awesome which is why I got them. If you're not tracking your car, they make ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE!!!! I have never stopped any better than any of my friends without'em. I just like the Brembos. Personal preference. And I don't drift any better with'em either. lol

Another reason I (personally) went with an 03 is because of the tape player. $3bux later, I can play my iPod or Bionic thru my speakers. Not that you CAN'T do it with an 06+ and not that it's difficult, but I can promise it'll cost you more than $3bux and take you more than 30seconds to make it happen. Eventually, I'm gonna do a stereo upgrade, but this works in the interim.

Spoiler, I ripped mine off (literally). If you don't like that ironing board, find a wingless trunk from a sucker that does. I didn't have the patience. lol.

Wheels...if you're not keeping them on the car, that does not matter. Tires are cheaper for the 18's than the 19's if you ever need to replace them. Since my tires spend a lot of their time up in smoke doing ridiculousness, that means a lot to me.

The older, the less expensive. With that, you're probably looking at higher miles and more usage as well. The only reason I would say forgo that extra 2k is if you're paying cash. Saving up 15k is different than saving up 17k...I don't care who you are. If you're financing this car, you're looking at roughly 40bux difference between an 03-05 and an 06+. You can handle $40bux if you're already talking mods.

So, unless there's something specific you want in the older models (such as myself), there's no good reason to get one. And this is coming from someone who currently owns an 03. lol. Don't let the money stop you unless it has to. TRUST ME. If you get something you don't like and it only saved you a couple of bux, you will not be happy. I got what I wanted. It just happend to be inexpensive. lol

I got an 05 6mt coupe because I felt it had the best of both worlds. I know not everyone agrees with that but here's my reasoning.

I like the wide spoiler I think it looks sharp and keeps the rear from looking too rounded.
Get a higher redline on the Rev-up
19" rims are sick for stock
Brembos are nice but just brake pads will cost ya $$ 05+ are (from what I hear) better and cheaper to maintain.

I do like the 06 projectors and tailights but Infiniti couldn't quite put it all together in one year lol. I don't know much about cars but I know what I like and thats why I found an 05 with an ironing board spoiler!
