engine hit 200k, rebuild or replace?

I just hit 200,000 miles today, I'm going to run my engine till it dies but should I be focusing on buying a new engine or rebuilding the one i already have? the rebuild would consist of "moving parts" as of right now. I really haven't done much research on the topic but does anyone have any input as to whats worked for them? or what they wish they would have done differently? anything I should definitely stay away from? thanks

only performance mod is a short ram intake

Unless you plan on rebuilding it for performance, it would definitely be easier to just buy an OEM long-block and throw that in when need be.

not performace, I figure it would be cheaper to buy new pistons, lifters, piston rings, and anything else I would need. I got 200k out of this one, I think I can do it again
Nissan quotes something like 8k for a long block, I'm trying to stay under 2.5k if possible. I dont like the idea of buying someones used engine bc idc if they ahve taken care of it like i would...

Between parts and labor, I don't think $2.5K is going to cover it. There are risks about buying a used engine but one with decent mileage can be had for under $4K.

I'd much rather spend the $4k making mine "brand new" again then, thnx for the input though, greatly appreciated!
