Got spanked by an M3
I rode in a new M3 SMG a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed with the performance.
I can't put my finger on it, but I just can't bring myself to like the 3 series no matter what guise it comes in.

Guys...and gals :-D
With a MSRP of $47K, what do you expect? I would hope a $47K M3 with 300+hp would beat a car that has a MSRP of $37K and 280ish hp. The comparison is getting a little old (or is that me getting old....I forgot). Anyway, someone once said this issue is apples and oranges. I bet if you spent $10K modding your G you could probably beat the M3. My point, you got what you paid for (and it is quite nice I might add) so enjoy it. My buddy who drives a Honda Accord probably could mod his car up to my $37K G and beat me.

BTW a honda element is a brick not a M3

Yea man, thanks lol! Wrah you too, too say an M3 is a brick is like an oxymoron, the M3 is one of the most nimble handling cars, doesnt feel heavy at all!
Lol just thought i'd chime in.
Even heavily modded most accords suck ****.
I have a 6th gen 02 Accord Coupe as a daily driver(bought new for 24,600)
even with 12 - 15k in mods it'd have a hard time catching a M3 or a G35.
5k = New Transmission, 6k = CL/TL/7th Gen accord engine, and you'd need the rest for labor. you wouldn't even have enough money for FI.
7th gen accords however have the capability of being sick.. with the 6-speed transmission. but they still look fugly to me.

I don't know much about mods so I am not going to say a modded Accord could beat a G...maybe so...maybe not....I don't know. However, I used G vs. a modded Accord as a way of explaining myself....didn't mean to offend anyone.
I still stick to my point....pay $47K for a car and it ought to look and perform better than a car in the $37K price range (at least that is how my mind works). If it does not, it sucks!

I think the way your car is set up is the best i've seen so far....Good luck with your pride and joy

Look at the Mustang GT, its around 25K, has 300HP, it could compare to the G. Kinda tired of comparing our car the the M3. The M3 is lot more expensive and I'm sure it would be really hard to get one for 46K new. While its easiler to get a G for 33K. With the G, just spend around 5K to get a TT kit, and you could surpass the M3 anyday of the week. With the TT kit, your looking at around 380HP So for about 38K, you could get yourself a M3 killer. The G and the M3 looks equally as nice IMO. Whenver I see a M3, I be like, damn that looks nice, too bad its too expensive. While with the G, I get the same great look, just weaker HP, which could improve with $$$. K, end of the debate.
