Brand new G35 Coupe 5AT owner and new to this site.....also mechanically challenged. How hard/easy is it to change out the stock pedals for the aluminum pedals? Also, any HP increase by simply changing air filters only to a K&N? How about a good site for accessories?

Those aluminum pedals aren't TOO bad. I'd really suggest putting those pedals in some really hot water though to make them a little more flexible. That damn brake pedal is a real b!tch to get on. I'd suggest start by putting the top of the pedal and slide it onward. I believe there are some instructions online that may help you more.

As suggested already, warm the pedals for an easier install. (hot water- hair drier etc)
Only a few hp by changing to a K&N panel filter, but it's a start.
There are many sites to log into for parts including StrictlyZ (see banner ad at top of page). They are the owners of our site and give our members good prices.
Pedals are pretty easy in concept to change, but man they sure mess up your thumbs. Warming them up definitely helps.
I wouldn't count on any gains from the change of air filter only and minimal returns for intakes and exhausts.

There's also a section in the forums for vendor experiences so I'd look at that rather than just $$$. Sometimes service is more than worth the extra cost. Good luck.
