Thanks for the replies guys.

And how would you "instantly" realize if it was the same colour as the car? That makes no sense. Black's a pretty standard colour for a lot of parts I'm sure (could have just fallen off the underside, etc.) Maybe easier if you have a blue car like yourself.

In any case, probably is the tow hook cover.

True. I just picked up the car last night, noticed the piece on the way to work this morning. Hadn't really had the time to look around to see where it goes.

Since I registered on here today, thought I'd ask. Curious s'all.

Thanks

If only you had specified centimeters, there probably wouldn't have been much confusion. Most of the people on here use Standard measurements.

^^^ I have the same piece in my glove box but it's definitely not the tow hook cover (the tow hook cover is square where as this thing is a rectangle)... it's about the size of a credit card and it's painted the same exterior colour.

to this day I still dont know wtf it's for.

That sounds like it's the missing piece to open a hidden compartment in the car where you can activate the side mounted missile launchers. I found where mine was and love it, it's great for getting people out of the way on the parkway.
Keep searching or post a pic.

this is to delete the arm rest.. it basically hides the hinges where the arm rest connects then you have an open cubby hole... Just throw it out if you plan on keeping the arm rest
