6MT Reverse light fuse
I have a 06 G Coupe 6MT
While I was changing my reverse LED bulbs today, I used my screwdriver to adjust the metals. I forgot I was still in reverse gear and it sparked in front of my eyes. After that, the reverse lights no longer work and my backup camera that is wired to the reverse light no linger work.
I tried to locate the reverse light fuse but just cannot find it... I searched all around the forum and people are mentioning about a new "switch" since 6MT reverse.
I searched / checked the electronics section but can't find an answer. Trying general forum for more traffic since this is probably a common problem?

Yea that's it, its a bitch to get to as well. You'll have to remove the rear trans mount and tilt the engine and trans down a little to get to it (unless you have little Chinese arms/hands). However, the circuit has to be fused, and its more likely you blew the fuse than the switch. The switch is a simple continuity switch, there is not much to "blow", only wear out. If I remember right, the fuse for the reverse/tails is in the IPDM. Ill check the manual and get back to you though. If you do get a new switch, take the plug off of the old one, plug it into the new one and operate the switch by hand with the key on to see if it works before you go through the pain of installing it.

So where is this IPDM and where would the fuse be?
I understand that the switch is by the tranny, but do I have to do the same to reach the IPDM fuse for the reverse light?

Most of the fuses in the IPDM are shared. I'd just check all the 10 amp fuses. Check them with a multimeter if you have one.

Talkin about the Chinese comment? It's a joke, don’t take it too serious. I meant Japanese anyway. Ever work on a *** sport bike? You have to have some infant hands just to change the damn spark plugs on most of them.
