High mileage

Hey guys I have a 2005 G With 112000 miles on it, it's been good to me plus I really haven't seen anything worth trading my baby in for so what can I do or change on the motor to keep it running strong

Did you do your 90K mile service, all fluids and filters? Have you been using synthetic oil? If not don't change now, just keep doing what works for your G....Gary

Be careful with that year car. It does have an oil consumption problem. Unless it was only for the MT but others can chime in on that.

just do the basic maintaince and the engine should be fine. I have a 141k on my engine and its still going strong. The vq engines were built pretty strong so it should last you a long time long as you take care of it.

Maintenance on time is the key to keeping the engine up and running. Seems like 250K is a good goal on this engine. My 2K SE Maxima needs a new or rebuilt engine now. I hope the G's engine can last that long, it should with Castrol Synthetil oil.

They last a long time I bought my car with 112K on it actually, and it lasted to 180K when it developed a knocking rod and went on me, but that's a rare occasion. Now I have a motor with 30K on it lol enjoy it seems like you are doing all the right care for it.

I'm at 140k in my 05 6mt I bought used and have only been able to do the oil so far. Brake fluid seems a little low, so I plan to replace that and maybe the trans fluid just to get all the fluids on my schedule. Other than that I know you guys say maintenance, but anything else I might have to look for? Thinking I will check the plugs after the fluids then I dont know. Maybe tints and slam her ^_^

Definitely tune it up if you haven't a good throttle body, maf cleaning, and change of spark plugs will make her feel young again. I did it at 160k felt like a new car.

Why do people think 100k makes a car high mileage ?
