Homelink with Condo Building Garage?

So my condo building gives us a remote control to open the parking garage door, and I'd like to get the G35's homelink button to open it instead.

I was reading something about climbing up to the actual motor of the garage door to program it but don't think I can do this in a condo building.

Has anyone gotten their homelink button to work in a condo building? How'd you do it?

Or is it as simple as pressing the homelink button and my garage door remote button at the same time for 10-20 secs?

Where's your garage door opener located? It's faster if you press the button at the garage door opener but you can also do it with your home link mirror also but takes longer.. the instructions gives you both ways to program the home link on the mirror. Read your Owner's manual page 2-37 but Note:
Garage door openers (manufactured after 1996) have “rolling code protection”. To program
a garage door opener equipped with “rolling code protection”; you will need to use a
ladder to get up to the garage door opener motor to be able to access the “smart or learn”
program button.

Good Luck

Hold the button you wanna program on the mirror til it flashes then press the button on the remote so that your homelink learns the garage door, voila.

if it's a rolling code, that won't work.

+1 to the manual comment. If not, what hologram said is what I used for my apartment complex garage
