Smoother Ride and Front license
My sport suspension has not made the car handle nervously nor does it change directions with bumps. Feels like an M3. You feel the road but it's composed. I have not driven a G35 w/o Susp. Package so I can not compare.
You might want to wait until you have one or two thousand miles on your car, allowing the suspension & shocks to "Break in" ! If the ride's still too harsh, changing to 18 inch wheels & tires is the least expensive "fix".
We took delivery of my son's new G35 coupe with the sports suspension this weekend. The initial ride is very hard/harsh... but I expect it to soften a little after break-in!
I have had my G35C for 8 weeks, I also have the sports tuned/19" OEM
Granted it is a little rough, it is not like nor intended to be a smooth lexus sedan ride.

After I had my care a couple of weeks, I check the tire pressure, and the bozo's at the dealer had pumped those things up tp 42 and 43 PSI rather than the spec of 35PSI (cold pressure)
I set them at 35 PSI, and it made a hell of a of a difference.
Granted it is a little rough, it is not like nor intended to be a smooth lexus sedan ride.

My understanding is that the factory pumps up the tires real hard for shipping purposes. The dealer is supposed to re-set the pressure to the proper pressure which is on the door sticker, but they often forget to.
man... u guys are freaking me out... i have an 05 on order.... i hope i don't regret the purchase, as this is my first G. i had a vette before with the ride control and always had it set to touring (softest setting).... because i couldn't stand the rough ride of the other settings. hope this G won't ride like those other settings ALL the time.

Another good solution would be to consider trading the 19's for cash and a good set of 18's. Redwillow is looking to buy a set of new 19's. Send him a PM and see what you can work out. This way you'd save over $2K in the TEIN CS (plus installation) and you'd get a good amount of money in return for your 19's. Sounds like a win/win to me.
My G35 with the 19 inch wheels and SS is almost as comfortable over bumps as the 330CiC BMW I had before (with 17 inch wheels and sport suspension). I think both vehicles have a firm, but not jarring ride. I run factory specs on the tire inflation (+ 4 pounds since I inflate them when warm).
The G feels heavier, and has a wider turning radius than my BMW. I have just begun goosing it more since it reached the magical break-in mileage. Also, notice much less brake dust on the G Wheels compared to my BMW!

don't buy those ugly expensive license plate holders..
buy the medium size binder clip.. shorter screws and a 5/8" thread 5" long bolt
use the binder clip to hold the license plate holder, then screw on the bolt on the tow hole.. then put your plate on.. then you're done! a quick 5 minute job that cost less than 2 bucks

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my G. Absolutely LOVE it. The rough ride just gets a little annoying when I'm driving for awhile. But it's not enough for me to not love my car!
The funny thing is, before I bought this car, I read in this forum that 18's offer a better ride. But when I test drove it, the Sports Package actually felt softer. I love the way the 19's look on my car and want to keep it looking like that. I'm gonna try the tire pressure thing when i get home tonight.

1) check tire pressure. When I picked it up from the dealer it was 45psi. I now have it at 35psi.
2) License plate- I ordered an adaptor from www.stillen.com I had to return it bc the screw that threads into the tow hook was too small a diamter. Apparently the 05s have a larger diameter than the previous model years. I am not sure if this is the case with the strictlyz plate holder. I would check on it to make sure though.
