New Member! - 07 Black G Coupe

Already posted a few threads with random (perhaps noob) questions but thought I'd introduce "the other woman" formally.

Picked her up last week. Got a really good deal. Was in pretty much mint condition with only 24k miles!

Just washed and waxed a few days ago. Pics not the greatest but more to come. Nice to finally be a part of g35driver (after lurking FOREVER).

And I suppose I'll get the customary "drop it and remove those hideous orange corners!" replies.

Might drop it in the near future and as for the orange corners, I kind of like them tbh. Adds a touch of colour.

And I absolutely can't let the mod bug bite because I am now broke + like the car stock for the most part anyway.

Do need to get it tinted though I think. What % looks good on black coupes? Front/Back/Rear?

Welcome to DRIVER new coupe owner!

Low mileage and a OB coupe too, you did good! Contratulations, you've achieved what most new owners only wish they could. Another 6K miles and you can have the 30K service completed, SEARCH for what's involved and where to get er done....Gary

Congratulations. I bought the same exact car in late May and still get excited every morning to jump in and hear that growl. Enjoy.

Just don't go too dark. Maybe 35% tint all around. Don't wanna attract too much attention to yourself. Nice car by the way!

Thanks guys. Yes, couldn't believe the mileage when it got listed. I had all but given up looking for an OB low mileage g35C and was starting to look at g37s and then this beaut comes along.

Best part about it was - private sale- and the man was in his 60s with 4 other cars just looking to get rid of it to make room in his garage. "It's a young guys car, I don't like it". Basically I know it wasn't driven like it was stolen by the previous owner.

I too want to leave it pretty much stock but EVERYone is on my case about at least getting it tinted. I'm not a huge fan of really dark tints so at best I might do a 35% all around. Just a bit worried about having someone screw up on the rear dot matrix windows.

Just can't believe the stock rims on these cars. They're better than anything I would have/could have picked out myself.

So how long did the "honeymoon phase" last for you guys? I'm sure to some extent you're all still in it.

Mine will last a while I'm sure but still cannot beat the incredible feeling I had when I first got behind the wheel after I signed on the dotted line and the last owner handed over the keys. Amazing.

35% tint all around and you're set. Don't go too dark or else you will get unwanted attention. Congratulations and welcome aboard. I am like you, I love the look of my orange sidemarkers.

Wow nice find. Congratulations on the new car. I am currently on the hunt for one very similar to yours but I wouldn't mind a white one
