Outter tire wear HELP ! (new member)
So basically I bought g37 19" with rims and tires 4 months ago I have my car lowered on twin basics with spc front an rear camber.. I had an alignment done a week after I put the new wheels on.. I noticed in the rain my car would fish tail like crazy allmost no diff if I took the VDC OFF and this was before I started noticing my worn tires can anyone help plz I just bought whiteline bushings for the front and end links for the front and rear and new tires I want to solve this issue before it happens again
You didn't mention what size tires you're running but I'm sure your main issue is alignment. Where did you have the alignment done and did they give you a readout so you can see where the issue might be? You seriously need to find a brake/alignment shop in your area that knows how to adjust your suspension. Talk to friends and neighbors, every area has at least one the does the job correctly....lucky I have two! I'm not talking about Firestone/Sears or PepBoys those guys shouldn't be called mechanics....Gary
GEE3FIVEE, where do you live? Under FORUM at the bottom is REGIONAL, find the area you live in and look for a thread called RECOMMENED SHOPS. This is where our members have taken their cars and are satisfied with the work completed....check em out!

I have 245 40 19's on a 05 g35 coupe and yea I took it to Mavis tires thinking they would kno how to do an alignment properly but I guess not and thank you for your help because I have some whiteline bushings I new put in and everyone's telling me the compression bushings could take 7 hours to install fmL I live in new York @Gary c
well nobody mentioned that regardless of your alignment, the fact that you have your car dropped on that setup WILL wear unevenly whether you like it or not. Just depends on how close you can get it to sitting straight, but sorry to say, lowering = more tires more often.
(this have been my experience at least).

If you lower your car WITHOUT adding aftermarket parts to correct allignment, yes, you will have problems. If you install "camber arms" and "toe bolts", you can correct it back to factory specs.

He has the camber kit installed Chris, just needs to get bushing installed! Had the alignment been done correctly he shouldn't have tire wear and the skittish response he's experiencing. You can buy the most expensive alignment rack in the world but if you don't know how to make the adjustments it will never be right.
