relocating battery to trunk

relocating battery to trunk

i need help with relocating the battery to the trunk . Any tips ?? Reason for relocating is way easy'r for a jump start ran into a horrible situation had to wait 2 hours for a jump start lol and second i tooken enough weight out the rear and want to transfer some of that front weight to the back to even it out Thnx for any help!

just get a lighter weight battery, from my stock battery I dropped 17 pounds going to the one I have now..

Optima red top. Also instead of planning for getting jump started, plan to not get in that situation.

wouldn't moving the battery to the rear mess up the corner balancing on the right side of your car? The battery is there to help offset the weight inbalance you create by sitting in the car.

There are simple things that re-distribute weight and "mess up" the handling a lot more than the battery location...Things like carrying passengers, filling it with gas etc.

Yes you are correct there are other attributes that can ruin the handling as well, but just stating another reason why relocating the battery has no real benefit, since the weight distribution for the g35 is already 52/48 which is one of the best in class except for the e46 with the 50/50.

The op stated it would be easier to jump his car, but i think he would save more time and money if he just bought longer jumper cables.

alright guys thanks for the advice i went and picked up an extra long set of cables and thinking of just getting a light weight battery but cant decide which one yet lol
