Maybe Tony at Motordyne could explain how there's claims his ART pipes are quieter than HFCs. The HFCs still have some restriction and pass the smog tests in 48 states. I ran ART pipes with my HKS system for a couple weeks, they seemed louder than my F.I. HFCs. Installing your exhaust system get it first, then the ART pipes or HFCs and tune togeather cause you'll be throwing the lean error code....I was.

Thanks for your replies. I've heard about the claim of ART pipes being quieter than HFCs. Fast Intentions now make the Resonated HFC which is quieter as well, but I don't know in comparison to the ART pipes though. Tony from F.I. said not he's sold a bunch of Resonated HFCs for G37 owners, but not G35 owners. I guess that's why no one seems to have an answer here everytime I ask about the Resonated Fast Intentions HFC, and not the normal HFC.

Now in terms of loudness, how do the ART pipes (supposedly the quietest option) compare to stock cats? This being with the TDX2 exhaust being the common denominator.

One of the posters here, posted that it was actually quieter that just the TDX2 with stock cats....is that true?

ART's will be similar or slightly quieter compared to a resonated HFC. ART stands for Advanced Resonance Tuning. Definitely quieter than any non-resonated HFC or TP.

 

dont mean to be off topic but how are you disappointed with the Ark exhaust? Iv never heard anyone complain about it lol. did you have the art tps with that exhasut? I wasnt clear on the post... I have the Ark grip exhaust with Helix tps... best sound on earth. IMO of course.

Also, you mentioned "made power too" did you dyno before/after? or is that just what you felt? just curious...
