Stock Forged wheels. Should i paint them black?

My dad has had a g since 05 and i finally buying it off him because i got a job. Trying to decide what to do first though with the modifying it. First thought was to paint the stock wheels black because i already like the shape of the rim. I just want to know what the best looking black rim is on the market for a g.

I've very rarely seen stock wheels painted that look good. It can happen, but I think OEM 19s look best in their original finish.

I honestly don't think you should paint your rims. It looks kinda ghetto and it's obvious that they're the factory rims. That's just me. However, if you are going to paint them then use plasti-dip like the golfer says. That way you can get the look now and later on down the road when you realize you want to sell them or whatever you can simply peel it off and get a higher amount for them since they would be unmodified.

I plasti-dipped mine, done right they are a nice Satin black. Most people love they way they look. If I ever want to, I can just peel it off and go back to silver, no biggie. One of the major advantages is that it hides curb rash really well.

I wouldn't paint the stock RAYS black. For some reason that makes them look cheap. Keep them the color. If you want black wheels then buy aftermarket. The Varrstoens look ok & they're affordable.

Don't paint the stocks. Get a Z-tube/JWT Pop/ 5/16" PlenumSpacer as your first mods.

How's the durability omen the plastidip? My rims are powder-coated but need to be redone. Was thinking about just spray painting them for the time being

Mine have been plasti dipped since March and I drive my car every day, no sign of it coming off anywhere.

Every kid that gets a G35 coupe for some reason thinks their wheels should be black, leave it alone....forget modding you'll be better off! Drive & Enjoy!
