I just need this one question answered. when you go to start your car, do you have to use your key? Like for my 06 I dont need to use my key to start. I just sit and turn the ignition.

Yeah i have to put the key in the ignition and turn it on, so im guessing the smart key wont work for this then, will the second option i posted work? the one where the key flips out with the 4 remote buttons, where would i have to get it cut and how would i have to get it programmed? thanks.

The first one you posted is the OEM one. Thats the one I have and it has a key inside of it. I would recommend getting that one.

just ordered

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NISSAN-INFIN...5fa171&vxp=mtr

would be alot easier to flip the key every time instead of taking it out the back from the OEM one even though that looks alot nicer, now how would i be able to program this and set it up? thanks

Have to take it to the dealership. Cost around $150-$200 to program it

You should shop around. I got different prices from two different Infiniti Dealerships. I ended up paying $120. Just make sure you have BOTH Key fobs with you since they have to reprogram both of them. Maybe try Nissan too?

Another question, it says it comes with all the electronics in the car and what so, now ive been reading about the transpoder in the key, will i have to move my original one over or can that be programmed with the new key that already comes with one?

The intelligent key and the regular key fob are different. The intelligent key actually allows you to start the car without a physical key in the hole. I think that is why you can not program it yourself.

I just looked at your ebay links. If your car did not come with an Intelligent key, then I don't think it will work with your car. Stick to the same style you already have.

i dont think it comes with a chip. if it comes with a new chip it has to be program at the dealer. when i bought mine i had to get the key cut which was like 20 bucks at a locksmith and then take the chip off the old key and put it on the new one.
