Im interested in doing this too, id rather get a VINYL instead of painting it just incase you wanna go back in the future, and its more cost effective, would love to find out more!

I definitely would recommend going with vinyl. It'll probably end up cheaper, faster, and its reversible.

Only thing with vinyl is that I heard it doesn't last very Lon before you have to replace it

I've never heard that about a vinyl roof before. You can't cleanly repair vinyl really to my knowledge, so if you get little cuts in the vinyl you'd probably have to replace the whole panel, but it wouldn't take more than like an hour or two of your time to have it done, and it shouldn't be too expensive to have it done professionally.

Asked at a couple local vinyl places in my area 951 and it was around 200-250 but still not sure which to go with because I can get it painted for around that same price

Vinyl is much cheaper and it can be undone if you change your mind. It will last for years if you buy a quality vinyl. Don't buy some cheap stuff and wonder why it peeled. Also you want to make sure you clean the roof well and get all wax off so it sticks.

^^^^^^ this. Vinyl wrapping a roof is easy too. You caddy it, you just need a buddy or two to help.
