Driver side keyhole Cover..

Well basically my keyhole cover, (a Normal one with the hole for the key) and it seems to easy to pull pull off. I was wondering if there is a quick fix for this? Do I need to snap it into place? Also when the cover is off, the Lock itself seems moveable, Can wiggle.

I checked threads on this, I couldn't find much.

Thanks

I purchased one of the key hole covers without the hole since I have the Intelligent key. My old one popped right off so I used a couple drops of super glue to keep it on a little more tightly. It will still come off but it will take a little more effort.

OP, if you havent glued yours back on please post a pic of the cover. mine was on the ground one morning and I'm wondering if someone tried breaking in my car, based on the back of the cover it looks like it was pried off. My neighbors car was broken into the next day.

Alright I will, Mine doesn't look pried off, Possibly didn't snap in or missing a screw? At the moment I have it staying on with Double sided tape, Hoping to find a fix soon for it, Not having to rely On glue.

I think it should span back in to place with the interior plastic door handle bracket.

Update: I just checked, and unplugged the door, where the screw holds the lock securly in place. I have tried to screw it back in but I am having a hard time getting it to start "screwing" in, and gettting it tight. Any ideas? The screw is still there, just hanging on by the brackets to not let it go, but it is not screwed in or tight.

Make sure that the plastic inside clips over the door lock hole. If not it won't aline correctly

And did you have to pull the whole lock part out? ( Mine seems to just be loose, but Im not sure if i should try to pull it all the way out, Don't want to break my door lock, and have it not be able to lock.

That is the part I thought he was talking about too. As per my previous thread, DO NOT use superglue if you aren't talking about the part pictured above!

Those hands do need some Aveeno.
