yes, but they are a "snowed" clear. meaning they dont let unfiltered direct light through and have reflective properties,to help visibility,. the aftermarkets i speak of are literally a clear piece of plastic.which do not meet the DOT standards, hence the recall.

I didnt make this sh$it up. it came directly from the highway government website, and i got my lights for free from the dealer. So everyone trying to correct or challenge what im sayin,ur jus wasting my and the forms time lol. Obviously questions are welcomed. But trying to prove me wrong,when its a stated proven fact, is just stupid

You are Not really right.They r hid and can use an HID D2C (universal HID bulb) bulb, same as an 06 can use. They look better due to the projector lens itself. It distorts the light better than the reflector the 03-05 lights used.

update:

I bought another set of 06's off CL just out of curiosity to see what would happen at a DIFFERENT dealer.

I walked in the door, and just as i said,they ordered me a NEW pair from another location (since there is such a shortage they didnt have any on site)

SOOO just to quiet all you haters on here that are doubting me...... BOOOOM!

 

hmmmm I wonder where they ordered some from, because I tried to order 10 sets the other day, and every single one of them canceled, I even did a all warehouse order search and came up zero so the only place they could be getting them from would be another dealership that doesn't even know that they've been discontinued, there is no active recall, and the 05-06 projector lights are not orderable by any infiniti dealership, once the dealerships are out, that's it
and the 03 early models are the only ones that came with a Halogen, 03.5 and new all Xenon

 

wouldve been nice if u took some pics if there are serial numbers on the lights to identify which were the recalls

would your dealership replace identified recall headlights that were not originally on the car?

 

Let me qualify this by saying, I am not saying that OP is lying,
there is 12 dealership's in the USA that show to have any of the projector light kits, so it's possible that they did order one from another dealer, however there isn't any active recall on these

 

Since recalls are based on VIN, i don't know how they'd even verify it, if you bring a 2003 vehicle in, you'd not get the recall..... because it didn't apply to those

Infiniti wouldn't discontinue an item if there were still VIN's affected that haven't been done,
in Infiniti's eyes, this is resolved otherwise the parts would still be available
service file from Infiniti identifies part discontinued, order RH and LH assemblies

 

bout time we get an official answer from an official dealer. this was everyones initial reaction and made the most sense.

well it's also entirely possible that the dealer isn't doing it's due dilligance and just remembers there was a recall on it, and will be suprised when Nissan doesn't reimburse them for the recall work.... there's always ICB (individual case basis) I know up until about a month ago, we were doing 2 or 3 of these still, it wasn't till I tried to order a few of these to get for the G35driver members that I found out they were discontinued.....

 

^true diff dealers have diff ingnorances lol. but would it ever be as simple as op is saying he jus walks into the dealer with headlights in his hand and telling them theres a recall and the dealer jus niceley replaces the lights jus like that? its quite incredible lol
