From my experience, most teens are careing and responsible young adults, but there is a faction out there who don't give a dam* about other people and these are the ones spoiling it for everyone else.
You don't often come across this kind of stupidity, but it's best to keep your head until they just get bored and go away. If you have a cellphone with you and can get licence #'s, you can report them, but usually you can't.

You feel like doing a lot more, tho, understandably.

Kudos, Wil, for keeping your head.

"I just had a baby in the car the other day and I was driving very carefully but I realized how nervous I was."

I know the feeling. I brought my first one home strapped into the backseat of a Saturn. The rear-facing carseat consumed about 60% of the rear seat, then some of the front passenger area. I remember feeling like everyone was driving fast and tailgating me.

About a week later, we bought an SUV.

Here's the deal.

Most people (and I use the term people loosely), and I'm not just refering to tennagers, but really to at least half, probably more, of humanity, think, subconsciously, that the world was merely created for their own amusement, and that they are the center stage actor of a drama, and everyone else is merely supporting actors.

Very few people actually consciously believe this, but I would say the majority of the people do subconsciouly believe this and it colors their every action. This goes from the teenagers you encountered, to basically everyone you encounter, minus those who have realized that they are not the center of the universe.

At least thats my opinion of the way people act. I try and live my life realizing that there are other people in the world, and that I am not the center of the universe. I would say that the majority of people don't act that way.

Yeh, I was a bit upset........not all teens are like that.....only some.

Jaymstr, Quiksilverj810 - you guys have some good senses and should be proud of yourselves.

PhBlue, Kenchan - Thanks guys. Congrats to you as well. It's a very special feeling..........the 2hr wake ups are most worth it once I pick him up from the bed........just puts a smile to my face regardless of how tired I am.

flightz71 - Sorry to hear about your friend........it's really times like these when we understand the true meaning of time.........hang in there

aam6906 - getting cut off is a normal part of life in American roads, but when this guy literally swings into my lane and nearly lost control of his car while coming inches to the divider is just not cool at all.

I know I'm speaking about the minority, but for those reading this and do partake in such actions, please keep in mind, the roads are not yours............keep it safe for everyone.
