Didn't know I was boasting, apologies. Just don't want to destroy this car but when I'm behind the wheel, like you said, very irresponsible. I try not to... but like I said, when I'm behind the wheel my mindset completely changes. Every time I get out of my car I always swear I'm never gonna do it again and next time I hop in I'm doing it again.

Not only my car... but when I'm behind the wheel of anything.

And thats where maturity comes into play. Knowing when to have fun in a car and when not to is important. I too enjoy going fast, breaking the @ss loose, racing, redlining the tac, and the thrill of spirited driving. But, thats not something you want to admit doing on public roads because it can be dangerous and is against forum rules. However:

Everything I mentioned is legal in the above situation therefore it is acceptable. How you present yourself will correlate to the responses you receive.

^ VERY good point about knowing when to be mature about it. If you know that you're irresponsible behind the wheel then I'm sure you know better than to be smashing around everywhere. You may not care so much I'd you wreck your car or get a ticket or whatever but there may always be that time when you can have a major impact on someone's life. Judging by what you've been saying I'm very sure that you're probably around 22 or younger. If you're older then please grow the hell up or stop driving if you know you're incapable of driving properly. Sorry for any typos. < iPhone

If you drive it hard all the time, different components will wear down quicker than normal.

Standard addict speak.

You even beat on other's cars?

Do they have a Driver's Anonymous?

To answer you, all fluids must be changed and checked regularly. The friction from driving hard causes more contaminants in oil, transmission, differential fluids. The pressures invoved can rupture gaskets, watch for oil burning, coolant smell or white smoke from exhaust.

Etc.

If you beat on her, EVERY part involved in making a car move will be under more stress than normal driving. Check them ALL if you want to treat her like gold, as you claim.

And this is exactly why you shouldn't be behind the wheel of anything. Do something about your mental issues now before you kill yourself, or more likely, someone else.

One suggestion would be to take it to the track and get it all out of your system. That doesn't seem to be the case, however, and I'm hoping your G doesn't last long enough for the other inevitable conclusion - that you crash and hurt yourself or others.

His mindset completely changes and the Drift King takes control. He sounds like a kid, and his screen name doesn't help him out all too much either...

Yup, or that it may become more and more "first car"-worthy, Hello new Civic.

In all seriousness, OP, you need to grow up and realize that public roads are not your race track. (note that i'm not old, im 23 years old). We all like to get a little out of shape behind the wheel and theres a time and place for it. but 99% of the time public roads are not it. You may think you've got racing driver abilities and that you're not going to cause an accident, but often times its not you that you have to worry about.

Take it from me personally, I take pride in my driving abilities. I can drive anything with an engine and have thought that in an emergency situation I could always avoid it. but 2 weeks ago while on the highway, some lady pulled right out in front of me to cross the highway and I t-boned her going 70mph. didnt even have time to get to the brake pedal. fortunately I walked away from it. she however was airlifted away. Morel of the story is anything can happen, at anytime. I have to imagine that if I was "racing" and hit that lady at a greater speed, I would have killed her and nobody wants to deal with that kind of b.s.

Even IF you dont crash into something or someone, you're going to rack up tickets like its your job and then you wont be able to insure the car your racing in. People like you are the reason auto enthusiasts like us get such a bad wrap.

I race, every day, hard from 0-to that area's speed limit. I've learned from being pulled over time and time again, that going fast is not worth it. I'll go faster thru corners than grandmas and the like, but in traffic specially with many drivers on celllphones, and other distractions, that it is simply not worth the ticket/suspended license.

Racing is easy, and going fast is easier, the difficult part is avoiding the unexpected which unfortunately like the poster above me, was damn near impossible for him to do as he didnt even get to the brakes in time

These cars have rev limiters on them to keep them from being over rev'd and as long as your shifting/ clutch technique is good it shouldn't give you too much trouble until you start modifying it for more power or put sticky tires on it. Just keep clean fluids in it (oil, etc) and it should live a long happy life even with a bit of agressive driving. Now if you're ham fisted with the clutch and shifter and are stupid with it, you can break a lot of expensive hardware really fast.

This "Muney2bmade" kid sounds like just that, a kid. His "it's in my blood" mentality isn't safe for anyone including himself. If you can't help but drive the way you do then get some help, take some classes, or just stop driving before someone gets hurt. You sound like a very immature and inexperienced driver who has not had his share of bad experiences, or at the very least witnessed a bad accident.

I like to step on it as well; I won't lie. But at least I know that it's controlled. I know it's reckless but at least I know when and where to do it and know that that sort of driving habit isn't out of my control as you claim it to be for you. I hope you're able to get a few more years of driving experience under your belt without any incidents. Maybe then you'll look back and finally realize how dumb you were acting the way you did.

Ok while people are flaming him and saying he is irresponsible, im pretty sure EVERY SINGLE one of you did some stupid thing on a road before, don't act all grown up and **** cause everybody has done it and once the car bites OP in his a$$ he will learn.
