There, you formed my rebuttal for me. Yes, most if not all of us have at one time done stupid **** behind the wheel. It's part of the experience and were all guilty. But the difference is that anyone with half a brain and knows how to drive will understand that it's just that. Occasional. Given the appropriate circumstances I'm not afraid to tear it up in the way to work. But the part I think you missed is we KNOW when it is and is not appropriate. The OP clearly does not. Nor does he have apparently any self control behind the wheel. I know people like that. I've had friends Killed in accidents by retards like this and it's not an acceptable mentality. I'm sorry, but there is no validity in trying to defend him. I'm involved in a lot of forums and the first thing you will learn is that nobody wants to hear about how wrecked and absent-minded you are behind the wheel.

I never said I do it in heavy traffic or at stupid times... I just do it a little more than occasionally, but I don't do it dangerously. I'm sure if I showed you what I did you would definitely be like well that's not too bad.

I've been doing it for about a year now and never been in a close accident, nor any tickets. I'm not saying that makes it right, but it at least shows a little that i'm not going super crazy mode every day... not any time actually.

On the weekend people just get lined up @ lights and race to about 40-60 mph. Or if someone pulls up next to you and slows down we downshift and go at it if there's no cars in front of us. It's pretty easy to tell who's faster within 3-5 seconds.

And the streets we do it on are filled with cops, it's like a known thing everyone does around here... idk i guess i'm just rambling on and I won't be able to change your minds because I do admit I worded it to where it sounded pretty bad.

It seems like you guys think I'm going 110 swerving through traffic dodging cars and running red lights.

It's no ones fault but your own that you gave everyone the impression that you are an irresponsible driver who doesn't know how to NOT floor the gas pedal everywhere. Choose your words more wisely. It's VERY easy to give off the wrong impression via text. Regardless I still think that you're bound to mess this car up given your initial description of your driving habits and what has already happened to one very unlucky car prior to this one.

Really, if ya had to ask in the first place then you must be doing something bad to the car. It's common sense my man.

I said I wasn't mechanically educated. The motor I blew could have been saved had I known not to do what I did.

The car started over heating so I pulled over, saw that it got back to normal, so I drove it again, and it over heated again, so I pulled over again, and the motor was history.

Never blamed anyone for my mistake of giving that impression, hence I admitted I worded it terribly.

If you’re worried about it in the first place then change your bad habits. It’s as SIMPLE as that. Just grow up in order to protect your car that you say you care about.

Stop going at it. No newer car is going to blow up when you romp on it a few times as you say you do, at least no reputable Japanese import. It's a sports car, yes, but it's not a race car designed for that much abuse.

Not only my car... but when I'm behind the wheel of anything.
BE RESPONSIBLE. Stop going into Speed Racer mode and drive normally… with the occasional WOT driving just not too often. No one on here drives like a granny 100% of the time on the streets. You don't have to know how to work on a car to know how to properly maintain one.

ahahha, Have at er bro just be responsible please... , nothing wrong with a little testosterone fueled drivin, the line between putting lives at risk and havin fun should be pretty obvious.

I know when i get home from working away for 30 days, i drive my baby so hard for 2 days ahhaha last time i was home i put 160 miles on it in 2 days, 50% of that drivin i was sideways around corners for a 1st-2nd pull.

He is the new paul walker...altho if he wants to go fast, his 2 car choices so far are weak. G's are slow, and so was his dodge.

Didn't choose the first one, and I don't have 100g's sitting around.

They don't race all the time, only on the weekends lol.

Tulsa Oklahoma. Maybe I'll take a picture of the Sonic where all the high end cars go, lmao.. twin turbo'd g8's, supras, etc etc lmao... occasional lambo/gtr.

Supercharged SRT8 Grand Cherokee is my favorite =) next vehicle on the list. Raced a stock one this weekend @ a roll and got embarrassed haha. Then I told him to pull over and give me a spin in it, didn't even know the guy, and we smashed on some SS camaro's hahaha.

LOL. This guys credibility is going down the drain. Cool story kid. You obviously have more growing up to do. Who brags about street racing? Kids. Once again, you're putting bystanders in danger. Go to a real track day at your local race track for some real racing.

OP, install a transmission cooler, if you are going to drive it hard this will help your trans a lot.

Actually a lot of older people out there that do it as well.. don't see how I'm bragging about it? Lol. I think you don't know the meaning of bragging my man.

Pointing out that I'm losing credibility doesn't really do anything besides make me care less about what you say, I come to this forum to ask questions and get answers, not all this b/s off topic stuff.

Thanks, for your input I appreciated it.

What I mean is that street racing was cool in high school, but most of us have grown out of it. Legal organized events such as track days, drags, or gymkhanas are where many of us choose to let it all out. If you are driving that recklessly on the streets then you should stop before an innocent bystander or spectator gets hurt. If you're not then disregard my comment. I'm not trying to start a fight, I'm just saying that if you're going to do it at least do it responsibly.

Anyways, I'm a graphic designer and I have work to do at this time of night. I'm done with trying to teach you how/when/where to be responsible with your car. If you want your car to last then treat her well. As mentioned before, the more you abuse it (overly aggressive driving) the sooner your internals will go bad. I just hate to see Gs being wrecked and/or wasted. Good luck with your car man.
