Brakepad trouble

Posting this here because I need a fast response .
Change my brake pads a week ago and on back driver side ,the pad doesnt sit right on the rotor. The outer edge looks like it not make contact with the rotor.Took off pad and reinstalled the pad again.but the same thing is happening again. What else can it be???

You might check the caliper slides (the metal bolt things inside the rubber boots) to make sure they're not bent. While it's normal for the pad not to wipe completely to the edge, yours doesn't look normal to me either. They're cheap to replace if you need new ones. If the pads are sitting in the abutment clips (the sheet metal things that are clipped to the caliper that the pad ends slide on) they shouldn't be able to get that far off track so you might want to pull the caliper off and have a look at everything. Is there any chance that the pads are in there backwards or something?

If my rotors were that fugly/rusted I'd replace em. Take a very close look at your calipers, you may not be getting equal pressure across the pad. Looks like it's time to give your G a Christmas gift....new brakes!

Possibly NO abutment clips in the caliper's tab notches? If not, this could cause the pads to get wonky-jawed in the slots...

When you take the brakes apart, how does the width of the pad compare to the swipe width on the rotors? After driving for awhile if the pad is a lot wider than the swept area on the rotor, you'd start to develop a nasty ridge on the pad. Are these aftermarket pads? You may have been sold the wrong pads even though they fit in the calipers. I'm just guessing at this point because I'm about out of ideas on this.

Maybe not the correct pads for your year/model?
