New 2004 G35 owner! Strange squeak and clunk sound
Hello! I am super new to forum posting and have only owned my dream car for 2 months just about.. There's this strange spring ish squeaking sound when I go over bumps at times (seems like its coming from the front) and there is also a clunking sound once and a while... Also when going over bumps( which I thought was my shocks. Apparently I was wrong lol) I need help guys! I want to get my baby fixed ASAP!!
You need to jack up the car and visually inspect all the rubber bushings in the car. It can be anything, but usually squeaking sounds is suspension related.
Until you INSPECT it, it will be a best guess.
Best case, your front sway bar bushing just need to be regreased. Worst case, some of the bushing in your control arms is going bad and it needs to be replaced or the bushings in your tie rods are bad, something of that nature.
Those are some random guesses.

Yup I agree with the previous poster. Sway bar end links/bushings are pretty likely based on my past experiences. If it's audible at low speed when hitting a large bump like a speed bump, that's probably what it is. Good thing is that this is a cheap fix. You can probably by new end links at the parts store for $20 or so. figure probably an hours labor to install them and you're probably looking at $125 or so. They're not that hard to change if you have a jack, jack stands and a decent socket set.
