Just put it in neutral and stop. No point in rev matching to come to a stop

To rev match downshift coming to a stop, clutch in and blip the throttle throw it in the lower gear and break, and so on and so on. Coming to a stop i wouldn't leave the car in neutral just incase a car come in your lane, so i would probably clutch in and break, put the car in third or second while the clutch is depressed and hard on the breaks. I think its sense able to put more wear on your brakes then your clutch but thats just me .

Just go into neutral if you're definitely coming to a stop. You downshift when you're not braking, you shift into the gear, blip the throttle and catch it at the right time. Braking and downshifting at the same time is called heel-toeing, and requires a good amount of skill and is completely unnecessary during normal driving.

If you're getting off the freeway, you brake, get off the brake for 1-2 seconds to downshift when it's safe, then get back on the brake. That's what I do.

Yeah you gotta practice the heel-toe. It'll be shaky at first if you've never done it and you'll look ridiculous but after a few days you should have it down smooth.

Correct procedure.

1) Drive 45mph to nearest dealership
2) Trade in G35 for Automatic

Real funny^^^

Ok im gunna try to heel toe, that's what my friend told me to do while taking turns to not lose rpm's.I just don't like the thought of the breaks doing all the work to stop the car at a highspeed.seems like my pads will wear out a lot faster.I was also told it was better to downshift while stopping

Brake pads are $80, a new clutch is ~1100 installed

Heel-Toe, baby!! Go on youtube and take a look at some instructional videos on how this is done. You really only need to do heel-toe driving if you're doing aggressive driving, since typical on-road driving doesn't require you to maximize braking/shifting/rev-matching efficiency. It's OK on the streets to brake a bit, take your foot off the brake in order to rev-match for a downshift, and then continue to brake.... but this obviously is not acceptable in a racing environment where every fraction of a second counts.

You actually shouldn't downshift through every single gear as you slow down to a stop on typical street driving... it's very pointless and will result in extra wear and tear on the drivetrain without offering you any real significant braking power (at least on cars like ours). If you're going to downshift through gears while decelerating, just skip gears and do like 6-3-stop, or 6-4-2-stop.... where your downshifts are generally done to keep the motor spinning that way you wouldn't lose power steering or brake assist in the event of an unexpected motor stall while the car is moving/coasting in neutral.

I can't believe people actually heel-toe for something as stupid as this.
As for stopping, why would you even put 0.01% wear on your clutch for something you dont need too? use your brakes for what they are made for.

real funny...wtf else do you expect to stop the car a $1200 brake pad aka clutch disk. Use the damn brakes for what they were intended for and the clutch for what it was intended for. Stop trying to be fast and furious in a pathetic 240 whp vehicle. Drive the damn car and stop like normal folks do. No need to heel toe your self in to the BRICK WALL

Yeah, as everyone else is saying, don't do it for 99.99999% of the times you are coming to a stop. Don't bother engine braking, just use your pads. Technically, yes, it is safer to always be in gear and never in neutral at any speed, but dear lord that would be painfully tiring to drive every day, and put tons of wear on your clutch and engine.

Heel-toe has its time and place, mostly when you aren't coming to a complete stop, like slowing down for a turn, or coming on some moving traffic. Plenty of videos out there, it's not difficult, especially in our cars. Not like an s2000, you can just do left side of foot and right side of foot. I do heel-toe quite a bit in daily driving. It does make for smoother driving. It is a good thing to be able to do and good thing to keep in practice.

It's weird seeing people at the track who don't know how to heel-toe. Usually a good number of people. I don't understand how you drive at the track that way, it seems like way too-much work.

Brakes are for stopping.

Down shifting is for accelerating.

Please read here --> https://g35driver.com/forums/g-spot/...orrectly+drive

Then share it with your dumbazz friend so he can learn how to drive a MT also.
