hey guys i wanna see if i can just get this answered real quick before i take it to the shop
i am going to do a whole flush on my car tranny/power steering/anti freeze/brake
but my question is when you do the transmission should you DRAIN the fluid or FLUSH it?
i have a manual if it matters.
i just heard that if you drain it it can possibly cause your tranny to go out soon after?

There is no such thing as a manual transmission flush for our cars(or any conventional manual transmission for that matter). You just drain it and refill it with new fluid.
Use genuine Nissan Manaul Transmission Fluid. You can get it at a Nissan dealer for cheaper than you can at Infiniti and it's the exact same stuff.

Well yea it does matter if you have a MT or AT!
With your MT all you need is a drain & fill. If you want to upgrade use RedLine synthetic fluids, that will make your tranny shift smoother and last longer....Gary

and instead of making a new thread i would like to ask you one more question, when i shift into second gear it grinds a little bit sometimes worse than others and sometimes not at all and is a lil rough into 3rd and 4th.. should i just assume this is the clutch and replace it now because it can cause damage to your tranny right? oh and sometimes when speeding and taking it into high rpms i get a burning smell? could it be burning oil? thank you
can anyone vouch for this clutch? any reviews? i would like to go ahead and purchace it but i want to see some comments on it first if i can https://g35driver.com/forums/engine-...-shipping.html

cant say i have direct experience with this product, but I've had a few JWT products on other vehicles and i have always been satisfied with quality and durability. everyone else ive talked to about JWT products seems to like them as well. hope that helps

I have only had mine for a little(came on car I bought). Transmission is noisy at times, but man I love how the clutch grabs.

Well my car has the JWT clutch and flywheel. And the lightweight flywheel does not dampen the noise that the Nissan flywheel does. So you hear that cement grinder transmission noise at times
I guess the search function is broken... hmm thats weird. But lots of people use this clutch. Besides the extra noise ive heard goods and bads about it. Personal preference really.

I have the same combo install on my car. The clutch is great, however the light flywheel (any light flywheel) will make a chatter noise at idle. It drives me nuts! Makes the car sound like Megatron with diarrhea.
However a tune to raise the idle to 900rpm would solve part of this problem.

I drove one of my buddy's G with a jwt clutch/flywheel and I loved it way more than my oem clutch which I put in a little over a year ago. Graps way better
