Vdc off slip ses and loss of power under wot

Hey everybody I am new to this site but have owned a 04 6mt sedan for about three years now. I have had no problems with it at all, been a great car until recently. If i go WOT it throws the three light on the dash. I have read the code it came back to a crank sensor so i replaced, reset the ecu and does it again. Well while reading on here alot of people say that you should only buy the oem sensors so i bought another on from nissan and replaced the one i got from amazon reset ecu and a few days later lights back on same code. i don't have a problem with it stalling or not starting, and it only seems to come on after 3500 rpm, but not all the time only once in awhile. Though when it does come on i Notice a good amount of low end power loss untill i shut the car off and let the vdc and slip light go off (they will go off if it sits for about 5 min) the ses light needs the ecu reset though but then it will stay off until it wants to come back on agian. Could be three days or three weeks. Just wanted to see if anyone has any insight to this problem or if this is a sign of bad things to come. it has 105,000 on the clock and is all stock

Any advice would be appreciated,
Thanks Austin

I cant help you, but I have the same problem so hopefully someone will chime in. I have an 04 coupe 6mt that I have owned for ~3 weeks now. This has happened to me twice. If I am driving with the traction control off, out of nowhere, the "slip" "vdc off" and "check engine" lights will all illuminate and the car falls on its face. it cuts power so bad that i cant even accelerate in 5th or 6th gear. Its like the ECU has a sudden bout of down syndrome and thinks the wheels arent getting traction and constantly cuts power. If i shut the car off, and restart it drives fine again. but the SES light stays on for about a day and the turns itself off. not sure whats causing it, but its happened twice and its annoying as f*ck. anyone know what the dealio is here?

thanks

What's the code number?

Crank sensor, or Camshaft position sensor? If the later, are you aware there are two of them? You may have replaced the wrong one.

Step #1 is to have the engine code read. Everything else is guessing at this point

I havent had a change to get a scan tool on it. the one I have is VW/Audi specific. hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get to oreilys or something to check the MIL history. Does anybody else have experience with this issue?

Simple Solution!

Most quality auto parts stores will read the error code for you. Until you find out what the code is and means this is going no where. Once you find out you can have replaced what ever is causing the issue....Gary

I had to replace my App sensor aka Gas pedal. For the same lights. 210 for the part from the dealer. Easy job.

But again, we need the code.

Hey thought I'd give an update. Endden up the flywheel was warped, setting a crank error. Replaced clutch set and flywheel and all was well.
