Laguna Seca (Video)

Here is the link to the video, courtesy of Boones. I will do a detailed story for the gang, but until then here is some footage. Clint is doing some fancy editing on his video tape, and in his subsequent posts here we will get some side by side split screen views and other cool stuff, including his very exciting off track excursion along the wall!! AJ was there a doing some very impressive runs for a first timer on that track, right up until he cooked his brake fluid. Speedventures put on another fine program, and after five sessions with only 12 to 15 cars per session, even less on the last run of the day, we were really exhausted and happy. Packed up the gear and rumbled down highway 68 to Monterrey and grabbed a nice Italian dinner at the Fisherman's wharf, looking at water, some tasty prawns and veal, and a bottle of Sangiovese to wash it down.

I wish the sound was a little clearer, what does the car have in it? At certain points it is pretty cool to see your keychain in the ignition perching side to side with the cornering forces!

Did you have a clock on you? I ran 34's and 35's there on my 600 racebike! GREAT TRACK, looks like you had fun and stayed out of trouble........that's what counts!

Roadracer516:
We were running 1:52-1:54 laps. There were a couple of Radicals running in the 1:32-1:36 range, but most of the fast cars were doing 1:45-1:50.
Obviously the key to running well there is driver skill, and suspension/tires. Having some extra horsepower does help, but it is the corner speed that determines the lap times.

That is a VERY respectable time in a stock car! Is your G stock? I noticed the guages, could not tell what they were and it seemed like you were doing a "turbo" like cool down before shut off?

What cars were running in the 32's......open wheel? Thanks for the vid

I'd put Eagle1 or Clint against pretty much anyone here on the forum when it comes to driver skill. No, his car is FI and those times are beyond the normal stock car, stock driver specs.
