i bought a stock shift **** because i want to tear it down and re-wrap it in a new material. does anyone have experience or ideas on getting the bottom metal piece off, and or the leather adhesive?

vice grips for the metal part, goo gone for the adhesive, both will work miracles. good luck, post some pics if u finish it.

finally got it off, i have a tan interior but everyone know the shift **** and boot are that ugly dark grey color. i have material to make mine match the light tan seats
