Would you buy the G again?

Some of us have had our G's for years and others have just discovered the joy of owning one.

My question is this: If you could go back in time would you buy the G again?

Some have had issues galore and others have had it easy. I've seen threads asking what issues you've had and how you fixed them etc. so we know the G's have their fair shair of issues. Has your experience been good/bad enough to justify your purchase?

I know I've had several issues. NATS failure, IPDM failure, both door locks replaced, passenger window rolls half way down, pop up nav won't stay up. It runs great if something isn't keeping it from cranking. It turns heads everywhere but it has definitley been a pain at times.

I'd definitely buy it again, but I'm not sure I'd mod it again as extensively as I have.

Same here. My car is so loud and I loved it at first but now it's killing me after 2 years. Just took my ART pipes off, that helped with the loudness for sure. I've been trying to sell my G and the mods actually hurt that as well. Hindsight is 20/20

I'd definately do it again. I still own my G that I bought back in 04. For those of you that mentioned "not modding as far as you did" are there specific mods you are talking about? I mean the ones that you would have rather not done or would not do again?

Hey Broke-as-joke:

My G was doing the same thing. Turned out it was just my gas gauge that was off. I took of my back seat and cleaned the terminals in my gas tank. This fixed my problem completely. My gas gauge reads very accurately now. Took care of my problem.

Also, you might want to get your car tuned. Not like one of those Pep Boys tunes. I mean real shop that does dyno tuning. Maybe your car is running rich so they could possibly adjust the gas that your G is putting out through your fuel injectors. They can adjust this with a tune. Could possibly be the problem.

Absolutely yes! I am original owner of a 2003.5 and enjoy driving the car everytime I'm in it (and I have had a lot of nice cars, BMW 540 & Porsche 911). Only reason I have not bought another one is that the new ones look too much like ours. I'm looking forward to the next generation model for a possible replacement. I'm only at 75K so it should last a few more years, hopefully!

Definitely. Planning to keep the car for as long as it holds up. Favorite car ever.
